Oh the instruments we fashion to distract ourselves from work! (cough blogging cough).
I just got back from dinner and I finally ate with some tennis teammates of mine who I haven't spoken to since well before Thanksgiving break. I've been busy, okay? (They've been teasing me by saying "do you... do you exist? Do I see that person?" etc). Whatever. In any case, they had sweet potato pie out, left over from the holiday dinner. It has a basic flour and butter crust with a soft, smooth sweet potato filling that is sweet, but not overwhelmingly heavy. Delicious! Since I have a sweet potato I bought, I'm considering making SPP at Hartwick before I go home on vacation, but still include it in my holiday baking. Did you know SPP derives from Kwanza?
