Tomorrow is the Big Day

9am tomorrow we're packing the RAV4 with all my stuff (a lot of it) and heading up to Oneonta, NY. A new journey beginning on the road.

"How do you feel about going to college? Are you, like, totally excited?!?!"

I feel:

-anxious
-scared
-cautious
-tired
-excited
-anticipatory

I'm a little excited. But those other emotions are overwhelming. I've been trying not to think about it too much this week. I've been practical; thinking about what to pack. Now this emotional part is just starting to hit me: I'M LEAVING!

I'm leaving my parents. My sister. My friends in Litchfield. I've already left my ones in Vermont...I'm leaving my job at Common Ground. I'm leaving the things I've grown comfortable with. And now I'm gazing upon the unknown--whatever it is--blinded, yet ready.

Yeah, I'm ready. It's time to start over (again). But there's something different between leaving BBA and leaving Litchfield. This start is fresher. This start is about me. It's in my hands.

And that is terrifying.

But totally awesome.
